Anxiety Therapy

Learn to manage anxiety and find calm through personalized, compassionate therapy.

Anxiety can feel like a constant companion. It can show up as racing thoughts, a tightness in your chest, difficulty sleeping, or a persistent sense that something is wrong even when things seem fine on the surface. If anxiety has been affecting your ability to enjoy life, connect with others, or perform at work, therapy can help you find relief.

Understanding Anxiety

I commonly work with generalized anxiety, excessive worry, overthinking, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety, perfectionism, and anxiety related to work, relationships, and major life transitions. Anxiety can look very different from person to person, especially in high-functioning or successful individuals who may appear confident and in control while privately experiencing self-doubt, constant worry, difficulty relaxing, or physical symptoms of stress.

Anxiety or Personality?

Sometimes behaviors such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, overplanning, difficulty saying no, needing control, avoiding uncertainty, or constantly seeking reassurance can feel like “just part of who I am,” when they may actually be ways of managing anxiety.

Clients may seek therapy for stress, low mood, perfectionism, relationship challenges, and psychosomatic symptoms that manifest physically, such as headaches, migraines, disrupted sleep, sleeping too much, low motivation, or a lack of energy. Therapy can help uncover underlying concerns, increase self-awareness, and support healthier coping strategies and relationships.

High Achievers

High-achieving professionals typically bring concerns such as burnout, anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, work-life imbalance, relationship difficulties, and difficulty managing stress or vulnerability. Read more in Navigating Anxiety in High-Achieving Professionals.

Young Adults & Students

I enjoy working with young adults who are navigating relationships, identity, life transitions, anxiety, and the pressures of becoming independent. They often want to better understand themselves, build confidence, improve relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping with challenges.

I work with college students experiencing anxiety, depression, academic or social pressures, relationship challenges, and uncertainty about the future. They often want to feel more balanced, manage difficult emotions, build confidence, and develop healthier coping skills.

How Therapy Helps

People often seek therapy when anxiety begins affecting their sleep, relationships, work, physical well-being, or ability to enjoy life. In therapy, I help clients understand the underlying causes and patterns of their anxiety, develop healthier coping strategies, and feel more grounded and confident. Progress can mean being able to tolerate uncertainty, quiet the cycle of overthinking, set healthier boundaries, and make decisions without anxiety being in control.

I have particular experience working with anxiety related to relationships, perfectionism, family and parenting concerns, work stress, and major life changes. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients can better understand themselves, process what they are experiencing, and develop tools that help them move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
