Life Transitions Therapy
Navigate major life changes, career shifts, and divorce with resilience and clarity.
Major Life Changes
Life is defined by constant change, but certain transitions can completely upend our sense of stability and identity. Whether you are navigating a painful divorce, facing a sudden career shift, transitioning into retirement, or adjusting to an “empty nest,” these pivotal moments can bring a surge of anxiety, grief, and confusion.
Even positive transitions, like getting married, having a child, or receiving a major promotion, can feel surprisingly overwhelming. It is entirely normal to feel lost or stuck when the structures and routines you once relied on are no longer there.
As life changes, we change too. We go through different stages, unexpected challenges, and ups and downs, and we often need to adapt and find new ways to cope. Sometimes, having someone beside us during those transitions can make all the difference.
Who I Work With
I enjoy helping adults who are going through significant life transitions and trying to adjust to a new stage of life. They may be experiencing grief, changes in relationships, family challenges, or uncertainty about what comes next. They often want greater clarity, acceptance, and a healthier perspective as they move forward.
I enjoy working with young adults who are navigating relationships, identity, life transitions, anxiety, and the pressures of becoming independent. They often want to better understand themselves, build confidence, improve relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping with challenges.
My Approach
With over two decades of clinical experience, I guide adults through life’s most challenging crossroads. My approach is rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and self-discovery, even in the midst of upheaval.
I integrate psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, existential, and humanistic approaches to help you:
- Process Grief and Loss: Acknowledge and mourn the end of a previous chapter, relationship, or identity.
- Manage Anxiety: Develop mindfulness and coping skills to tolerate the uncertainty of the unknown.
- Redefine Your Identity: Explore your core values and aspirations to build a new sense of self.
- Build Resilience: Cultivate the emotional tools needed to adapt to your new circumstances with confidence.
What I Believe
I believe that most people already have many of the answers to their own challenges. Through reflection, self-awareness, and the ability to process their experiences, they can become the leaders of their own lives, finding solutions, accepting what they cannot change, or shifting their mindset and the way they view their problems.
Healing happens within the context of our therapeutic relationship. Through active listening, empathy, and a collaborative environment, we will explore your background, current challenges, and future aspirations. You don’t have to navigate these massive shifts alone. Together, we can help you unlock your potential, achieve your goals, and find meaning in this new chapter of your life.
